简介: The full rich voice of this unusual talent echoes the
life and struggles-- -- joys and blessings of the human
heart of music.
William W. "Billy" Martin owner and founder of Martin Music
LLC, Our Dream Catcher Publishing and Our Dream Maker
Recordings, born in the hills of Appalachia of good
hardworking parents who believed that when you're raised
up working with your hands you quickly learn that there is
a song equal to every good work.
The melodies that created the best rhythm for their labors
came from memories of tent show revivals, country
churches, one room school houses, county road gangs,
and the crystal radio you made in school shop class and
hooked up to the battery in your daddy's old pickup.
In addition to helping people with their work these melodies
contained the essences of the people's hopes and fears,
reflected in the songs and lyrics written and played upon
simple instruments, many homemade or hand--me--downs,
which were played at informal gatherings, where two or
more families would join together to celebrate the giving
and living of life.
The sharing of their work and life experiences through their
music formed bonds of brotherhood that were forged over
long years of hardship and happiness and built an
interdependency of unbelievable strength and resilency.
It is from these roots that Billy Martin brings to you the
music that he has written as his way of honoring the memory
of those he has known and loved and perhaps convey to us
all a feeling for the richness of the human spirit as granted by our gracious and loving Heavenly Father.....amen
