简介: Spanish death metal veterans AVULSED recently entered Madrids La Casa del Ruido Studios by Dani Blanco to begin recording their long-awaited sixth full-length album, "Ritual Zombi". A conceptual effort dealing with zombies, the CD will contain nine new songs, including three instrumentals, plus a cover version of the DEATH classic "Zombie Ritual". The first AVULSED album to feature new drummer Osckar Bravo will be mixed in Barcelona at Moontower Studios by Javi Félez. Mastering duties will be handled by Dan Swanö (EDGE OF SANITY, BLOODBATH, NIGHTINGALE) at Unisound studios in Örebro, Sweden. The cover artwork, which can be seen below, was created by Juanjo Castellano, who worked on the latest PUTREVORE album and is said to be "the perfect choice to conceive the most putrid transcription of AVULSEDs sound."
"Ritual Zombi" is scheduled for release on August 31 via Xtreem Music in Europe and Sevared in the U.S.
AVULSED parted ways with drummer Ricardo "Riky" Mena in March 2012 "due to differences on how to deal with different internal issues within the band."
AVULSED in 2011 scrapped plans to release a 20th-anniversary CD, "Fleshcube", due to "several problems regarding the recording sessions that delayed the whole project, to the point that it was going to be impossible to release it [in 2011]."
This album will have a never-seen-before particularity on such an undeground Death Metal release (even never seen on major labels!!) and consists of a simultaneous release with 9 releases on 8 different labels around the world in 4 different formats:
- Xtreem Music (Europe) CD
- Sevared Rec. (North America) CD
- Coyote Rec. (Russia/CIS) CD
- American Line Prod. (Central America) CD
- Obliteration Rec. (Japan/Oceania) CD
- Disembodied Rec. (South America) CD
- Xtreem Music (World) vinyl 12"LP
- Narrowwards Rec. (Asia) Cassette
- Metalhit & Avulsed (World) Digital
All releases are due to come out in September 1st, making it instantly available almost everywhere at reasonable prices within their own territories.
