萨克斯风手谢明谚与日本超技爵士钢琴家スガダイロー Suga Dairo于2018年结识，之后于东京和台湾连续进行了数场巡回演出。原本预计2020年的录音加巡演计划，因Covid疫情延宕了三年，终于付诸实行！这张专辑加入了两位活跃于东京的一流年轻好手细井德太郎（吉他）和秋元修（爵士鼓），他们携手完成了新专辑《Our Waning Love》。 　　在没有低音提琴的情况下，给钢琴最大的狂野发挥空间，精巧的电吉他效果与自由叛逆的鼓声相加之下，巧妙交织成几近前卫摇滚般的独特节奏组声响，让萨克斯风在其中无限延展翱翔！ 　　在录音和后制处理上，谢明谚邀请了合作多年的录音师郑皓文，他精准的捕捉乐手能量，以及各种大胆的混音尝试下，在这次《Our Waning Love》给出了更加饱满的音像、开拓耳界的巧思。 　　专辑装祯设计更邀请了多次合作的设计师方序中，搭配上中生代摄影鬼才黄俊团。以抽菸的神秘女性作为意象，在她们手中的香菸点燃之后，随着歌曲里的幽柔玄美、乐手冒险碰撞，精彩火花将不快的心情和也氲做一缕青烟飞散。 　　如同历史上大多数的爵士专辑，在录音室里他们用一个下午完成了这七首未曾正式发表的原创作品，四位顶尖乐手完全不设限的演奏能量，彷彿John Coltrane经典四重奏般挑战未知境界的音乐旅程，充满紧凑气氛的临场体验，带领听众回到那个充满爵士奇迹的年代！ 　　A highly anticipated collaboration album by Taiwan's representative jazz saxophonist, Minyen Hsieh, and Japanese jazz pianist, Suga Dairo, has been released! 　　Minyen is now considered a leading figure in the Taiwan jazz scene. He began his professional career at the age of 19 and earned a master's degree from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. He expresses that jazz is the perfect way to express freedom and to be true to oneself, and he has expanded his activities beyond jazz to include genres such as rock, hip-hop, electronic music, and avant-garde. 　　This album is a collaboration with Suga Dairo, a jazz pianist from Japan. It was originally supposed to be recorded in 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was delayed for three years and has finally been realized. Young players active in Tokyo, Tokutaro Hosoi (guitar) and Shu Akimoto (drums), also joined in, creating an imaginative soundscape from jazz to beyond.
