Mpho "Mckenzie" Matome is a self taught song writer and an accomplished vocal performer. Mckenzie became greatly involved in DJ mixing and track selections for various stokvels around Pretoria and Brits. It is during this time that he started writing other genres such as Rock, Pop, Afro-Pop, Afro-jazz and traditional music This changed when Mckenzie composed the song Rhythmic motions which was air played from March 2006 and went on to be a hit in the club scene. When Mckenzie composed the track Hello Mr. Negotiations came from Master T to compile a project to be released as an album and performed to the public. With an agreement between the two, Project Rhythmic Elements was formed. It is this particular project that fuelled Mckenzie’s career as one of the best singer song writers in South Africa.
