Sheryl Lee Ralph (born December 30, 1956) is an American actress, singer, and activist. Ralph is best known for her role as Deidra "Dee" Mitchell on the UPN sitcom Moesha (1996–2001). Ralph also originated the role of Deena Jones in the Broadway musical Dreamgirls (1981).
