SKATERS is an American rock band formed in early 2012 based in New York City, New York. The band is composed of three members: Michael Ian Cummings, Noah Rubin, and Joshua Hubbard. The band’s debut EP, Schemers, received critical praise after being released on the band’s website for free.SKATERS signed to Warner Bros. Records in February 2013. In March 2013, SKATERS performed at the SXSW in Austin, Texas. The band released their first 7-inch single since being signed on April 9, 2013, featuring songs “I Wanna Dance (But Don’t Know How)” and “Armed”. NME.com has described the band’s sound as, “basically like everything we wished The Strokes still epitomized.”
