Richard Butler arrived on the U.K. rock scene in 1977 as the enigmatic lead singer for the Psychedelic Furs. The group's heady blend of punk, post-rock, and new wave won them legions of fans around the world. The group disbanded in 1991, prompting Butler to form the similarly themed Love Spit Love. Their self-titled debut was released in 1994, followed by Trysome Eatone in 1997. Butler's eponymous solo debut album arrived in 2006 on the Koch label.
