Possessing the ability to effortlessly manoeuvre through different realms of house and techno, Tim Green has constantly experimented across the spectrum of electronic music. Whether putting out reverberating minimal techno, smooth deep house, or sprinkling some of that unmistakable charm over productions of popular appeal, his work is stamped by fearlessness and fun. Bursting onto the scene in 2008 with modern classics “Revox” and “Mr Dry”, Tim gained some serious attention as his tracks were snapped up by the renowned Dirtybird and Trapez Records. He quickly gained support on his records catapulting him into the techno hierarchy. Countless high profile releases have followed on imprints such as Cocoon, Get Physical, and four:twenty. He has also exercised his remixing skills for the likes of Friendly Fires, Cassius, Booka Shade, Claude Vonstroke, Timo Maas and Seth Troxler.
Over the past decade of his DJ career Tim has toured to every corner of the globe and in the process appeared at many institutions such as Fabric London, Panorama Bar Berlin, Amnesia Ibiza, Womb Tokyo, Space Ibiza, Watergate Berlin, Electric Pickle Miami, Jaeger Oslow, Spy Bar Chicago, and D-Edge Sao Paulo. Plus made appearances at legendary festivals such as Burning Man Nevada, Caprices Switzerland, Mysteryland Amsterdam, Lightning in a bottle California, SW4 London, Desert Hearts California and Bestival UK.
Always catching the eye of key media outlets Tim was invited onto the prestigious Against The Clock series for FACTMagazine - writing a track in under 10 minutes live. Being a virtuous musician Tim has a unique and creative workflow when producing, which he was able to showcase on the innovative video series. The sounds of house and techno are deeply rooted within Tim, so it only seems right that he would launch his own brand Bedlam taking over The Tunnel a Napoleonic fortress in his hometown Maidstone, Kent. Acts from ÂME to Troxler graced the decks along Tim during the run of the events. Adding to his growing list of accolades Tim was crowned the “Best Breakthrough Producer” at the DJ Mag awards in 2010 and invited onto BBC Radio 1 by Pete Tong for his debut on the legendary essential mix.
Working with Cocoon he has delivered a trilogy of EP’s over the years “The Humming Syrup” “Eclipse” and “Among Wolves” and put out works such as the “Only Time Remains” EP and the “Body Language” Compilation CD on Get Physical. Tim has continued to develop his creativity working on remixes of the Grammy Nominated “Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five” by Paul McCartney & Wings vs Timo Maas & James Teej. He has released on Lee Burridge’s Get Weird imprint with his highly acclaimed track “For A Memory” as well and a hugely popular remix for Atelier Francesco on Cityfox.
Looking to the future Tim is stepping it up yet another level, this time releasing his debut album on the legendary Cocoon recordings in October. He will also be working with old friend The Slow Revolt on another release for Cityfox and rolling out his new live show reworking his material with live keys, loop pedals and synths. Couple all of this with touring in Europe, the USA and further afield, Tim Green’s journey as one of the most talented and unique electronic music artists keeps rising to new heights.
