Amy Davis Irving (born September 10, 1953) is an American film, stage, and television actress. The daughter of actors Jules Irving and Priscilla Pointer, she was raised in San Francisco where her father co-founded the Actor's Workshop, and began acting onstage as a child. She began her film career with a role in the 1976 horror film Carrie, followed by a lead role in the supernatural thriller The Fury (1978). She would go on to earn an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Yentl (1983), and later a Golden Globe nomination for her role in the comedy Crossing Delancey (1988).
