The Ipanemas are Brazilian musicians who in the 1960s changed the face of Brazilian music with their Afro Samba sound. Forty years later they are back with their second album on Far Out with more than a leaning to Africa. Influences ranging from the traditional Brazilian sound of capoeira in the shape of the berimbau to the eastern sound through the tabla.
