Rachel Taylor has had quite the journey. She was the voice of indie pop duo He Is We with Trevor Kelly before a controversial split in 2012. That year, Taylor developed health complications which were later diagnosed as ankylosing spondylitis (a chronic inflammatory disease of the axial skeleton, which is made up of the skull, spine, ribs, and sternum) and had to leave the band's tour. She was replaced by a new singer and the band continued under a different name. Once the dust settled, Taylor went forth as a solo artist, releasing solo EP Come Alive (Republic) under her own name in 2014. A year later, she created a new project called She Is We, releasing a pair of singles ("Boomerang" and "Flatlining") in late 2015. Her debut LP, War (Concord Music Group), was scheduled for release in early 2016. ~ Neil Z. Yeung
