Tabitha Benjamin is Detour City – the electronic landscape born of her inimitable folk style. Although existing on the underground and outer recesses of London clubland, on record Tabitha’s voice has already been adopted by the likes of Bastille, Wilkinson, Breakage, Dimension and Mia Dora who have employed her haunting vocal to counter their up-front styles. 　　 　　Tabitha established her voice firstly as a folk singer/songwriter taking her guitar and ukelele around the UK touring with the likes of Ed Sheeran. Soon enough the call of a wider sonic palette became too loud and Tabitha avowed to reconfigure her approach with a broader spectrum of sounds and flavours, first adapting some of her existing songs into electronica, and then developing new compositions but keeping simplicity and songcraft as elemental components. 　　 　　Currently recording her debut EP with Producer and writer Dave Etherington her first release in 2014 will coincide with inaugural performances of her new live band fusing tech instruments with traditional drums/bass/guitars creating a live experience that is both up-front and crisp but with human fragility behind each and every note. 　　 　　About : 　　http://detourcity.co.uk/ 　　http://soundcloud.com/detourcityuk
