After winning ‘The Grand Prix of the Netherlands’ (First Prize and Audience Award), the MC / Producer Skiggy Rapz has acquired a respectable live reputation with shows at venues such as Paradiso, Melkweg, Tivoli, Parkpop, and Mystery Land. He was the opening act for well known acts like Extince, KRS-One, and Kanye West. Also, the rapper appeared on the TV program “Raymann is late”.
In 2009, Skiggy travelled with Arts the Beat Doctor to Austin, Texas, to perform at the world famous SXSW Festival.
His debut album “Boat Drinks” was released in 2004 under his own management. The album was picked up by the Japanese label P-Vine Records, who decided to release the CD in Japan. Afterwards, many records with contributions by the rapper appeared all over the world.
Skiggy’s most recent work is the album “Record”. It’s the result of his cooperation with MC / Producer Master Surreal, called “Keynote Speakerz”. It was distributed throughout Europe and in Japan. From this album, three videos were shot.
Besides all this, Skiggy produced the vast majority of tracks on the CDs “Verhalen vanuit de sofa” (”Stories from the sofa”) and “Mayonaise voor de Ziel” (”Mayonnaise for the Soul”) by rapper Diggy Dex. From the latter album, a video was shot of the track “1,2,3,4″, where Skiggy makes an appearance next to Dex. This clip was broadcast on the music channel TMF.
Skiggy is currently working hard on his second solo album “Bang to the Boogie”, which will include collaborations with artists such as I-Repeat (singer of Beef) and the former band Leaf. In May 2009, the predecessor of this album, called “Bang To The Boogie EP”, will be released by the American label Beats Broke.
Skiggy Rapz (pronounced "Skid-jee Raps") is a Dutch-born rapper and producer who's developed a glossy, love-filled mix of hip-hop and pop. With his crisp, rapid-fire flow combined with catchy hooks, Skiggy creates hip-hop that is simultaneously underground and commercially viable. In 2007, he released the full-length Record as a member of Keynote Speakerz with Master Surreal. Skiggy also produced three albums for Dutch rapper Diggy Dex, and in 2009 he co-produced Diggy Dex's "Slaap Lekker," a number-one single in the Netherlands featuring Eva de Roovere.

Skiggy Rapz hit a licensing windfall in 2010 when MTV, VH1, and FUEL TV latched onto his growing buzz. His songs have been featured on programs including Jersey Shore, Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory, and The Real World. Skiggy has produced commercial tracks for McDonalds, Martini, and Samsung, and he has licensed tracks to over 15 international albums since 2005.
Recently, Skiggy Rapz performed in Chelyabinsk and Ekaterinburg, Russia, and Oslo, Norway, and he officially showcased at the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas in 2011. He has toured extensively as a solo artist and as support, backing Diggy Dex and fellow Dutch producer Arts The Beatdoctor (SXSW and Poland in 2009). Skiggy has also opened for notable hip-hop legends KRS-One, Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth, Guru, Nas, and Kanye West.
