NYGz are a hip-hop group from Bronx, New York. The duo has collaborated with DJ Premier many times are part of the Gang Starr Foundation.         Background      The group initiated as the name "Operation Ratification" on the Guru's album "Guru presents: Ill Kid LP", with 12" inch single "Raw Styles"[1] in 1995. In 2003, now as "NYGz" because of copyright issues with the title New York Giantz, they collaborated with the popular single of group Gang Starr, "Same Team, No Games" off the album The Ownerz.   In 2007 the group released their acclaimed mixtape "Welcome 2 G-Dom" on the DJ Premier label "Year Round Records".   Panchi and Shabeeno plan to release their debut-album "Hustla's Union: Local NYG" in mid 2011 with full production from DJ Premier.
