Hailing from the small Finnish island of Suomenlinna, 25-year-old Perttu Kurttila (known simply as Perttu) draws from a wide breadth of musical influences from funk all the way to punk. As a multi-instrumentalist, Perttu’s previous musical ventures were focused around extensive European tours with a host of metal bands. Now operating out of Berlin’s Bauteil3 studios, Perttu has embraced his penchant for producing top-quality electronic pop and allowed his musical direction to organically drift away from metal and towards his dance music destiny. Still a passionate performance artist, the talented producer is working on expanding the live aspect of his shows.
