Maria Lucia Heiberg Rosenberg (born 9. February 1984 ) is a Danish singer and musical - actor . She became famous when she won a recording contract with EMI in TV 2 program Popstars in 2003. The debut single "Taking Back My Heart" (2004) spent eight consecutive weeks at the top spot of the charts . The album, That's Just Me sold 22,000 copies. 　　She later made a successful career as a musical singer, including with leading roles in Beauty and the Beast at the New Theatre , Aladdin at Fredericia Theatre (later rebuilt at the Opera in Copenhagen ) and West Side Story at Gasworks . On May 8, 2011, she received the Reumert Prize as the year's singer for her role as Elphaba in Wicked at the New Theatre ; she is the first musical singer who has received this prestigious award. 　　She participated in the program Dancing with the Stars in 2013, where she danced with Morten Kjeld Gaard. 　　In 2013, she put her voice to (Snow Queen) Elsa in Disney cartoons Frost and song including the Danish version of the highly acclaimed and discussed the title song "Let it go" ( "Let it be"), who also won an Oscar for best film music 2 March 2014. Maria Lucia was among others chosen because she Wicked played Elphaba, in the Broadway version played by Idina Menzel , who is the voice of Elsa in the original version, Frozen. In the German, Dutch and Hebrew version is made the same gimmick, where "Elphaba the voice of Elsa." 　　In 2011 and 2014 held DR successfully a series of concerts around the country, where the famous songs from Disney classics were performed by Chamber Orchestra , Danish National Vocal Ensemble and include Maria Lucia, Stig Rossen , Annette Heick , Henrik Launbjerg, Monique , Jesper Asholt , Thomas Meilstrup and Pelle Emil Hebsgaard .
