Concert pianist, on the artist faculty of USC 1946-1976, head of the piano department at USC, D/O Adolph G. Steuber and Laura Mathilda Van Tuil Steuber. She gave her first public concert at the Gamut Club here when she was 11. She was a student of pianists Julian Pascal in Los Angeles and Josef Levhinne and his wife Rosina Lhevinne at Juilliard. Lillian Steuber. She practiced three hours daily in the wee hours of the morning before she went to her studio to put in a full teaching schedule. She performed all 32 of Beethoven's sonatas, accompanied violinist Jascha Heifitz ,when he too was on the faculty of USC. She debuted modern works for various composers, made recordings,and gave recitals in CA,NY, Boston, and Mexico City. She was a soloist with the LA Philharmonic, the Pasadena Symphony, and the Hollywood Bowl. She performed chamber music and was a member of the Penstemer Trio. She is listed in the Who's Who in CA. She gave as many as 20 recitals without repeating any composition.She was an honorary member of Sigma Alpha Iota.She was the pianist who played Beethoven's Sonata in C Op. 2 #3 for "Play It Again, Charlie Brown.'(1971) movie. She married Dr. Lowell Sidney Goin, Chief of Radiology at Queen of the Angels Hospital in Los Angeles and clinical professor of radiology at UCLA, in 1955. In 1958 she was named "Woman of the Year” in music by the Los Angeles Times, and was included in the first edition of “Who’s Who of American Women.”
