The Salteens are a Canadian indie pop group formed in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1997. The band is in rotation on CBC Radio.Their 2000 debut LP Short-Term Memories was released on Endearing Records. Along with an extensive, two-year tour in support of this release, the disc garnered The Salteens a substantial fan base not only in Canada, but in Australia, Japan and the United States. Short-Term Memories quickly rose to the top of Canada's national college-radio chart, and was nominated in the category of Best Alternative Album at Canadian Music Week's 2001 Independent Music Awards.
