Lajan Slim is a Haitian-American rapper who hails from Florida's Broward County. Inspired by releases on the Cash Money label, especially those of Lil Wayne, he started rapping in his teens and first stepped into a recording studio during the late 2000s. After several years of development and scattered tracks issued under the name Dhat Boi Slim, he independently issued his proper debut single as Lajan Slim, "Haitians." In August 2016, the revered Def Jam label gave the gritty track -- a celebratory anthem with horror theme-styled piano and booming bass -- a wider release, supported by Pusha T. ~ Andy Kellman
