DJ Holiday was born Robert Avery in Germany and raised in the East Atlanta neighborhood of Decatur, GA. Determined to make a name for himself, Holiday formed the party promotion company Plush Blue Entertainment collectively with his business partners in 2006. As co-owner, host, & DJ for Plush Blue events, Holiday's buzz grew quickly in the Atlanta area capturing the attention of rising hip hop mogul DJ Drama of the Affiliates music group. DJ Holiday was name the "Mixtape King" after producing mixtapes with notable rappers, Gucci Mane, Gorilla Zoe, Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa, Waka Flocka Flame, Young Thug, Young Dolph, and more. Amongst the southern hip hop community, DJ Holiday has been recognized as the Radio One Inc. Dirty Award's Mixtape DJ of the Year, TJ's DJ's Mixtape DJ of the Year, MTV's breakthrough DJ of the Year, and national feature profiles in XXL and Hip Hop Weekly. He is a living testimony that he will not forget where he came from recently accepting an offer for his own primetime 6-10pm radio show at Streetz 94.5 in his hometown of Atlanta.
