Marguerite Dolmetsch is a member of the third generation of a famous family, pioneers in the worldwide renaissance of early music. She received her earliest training on the recorder, viol and harpsichord from her father, Carl Dolmetsch, before studying viola and piano at the Royal Academy of Music. Inspired by a lifetime dedicated to the interpretation of early music, Marguerite performs on the recorder and viola da gamba, giving concerts, lecture-recitals and study days with her twin sister Jeanne.
