American Sin is an American heavy metal band originating from Cincinnati, Ohio. Originally known as Come the Dawn, the band rebranded as an alternative metal band in early 2017, unveiling their new band name and two singles on February 10, 2017. They formed their band on May 24, 2012.
Come the Dawn was founded on May 24, 2012, by the vocalist Marcus Barber, guitarists Samuel Morelock and John Bobinger, bass player Jake Wire, and the drummer Josh Sexton. On December 23, 2013, Sumerian Records announced that they had signed the outfit, that they were releasing a lyric video from the band titled "Worlds Collide (As It Ends Tonight)."
Come the Dawn's debut album, titled Light Of The World, was released on September 30, 2012, through Sumerian Records. Light Of The World was produced by the frontman of Beartooth, Caleb Shomo. The band's first music video was released on September 27, 2014, for the song My Body's Failing.
From March 27, 2014, until April 10, 2014, Come The Dawn played in six concerts as an opening act for Oceano in a mini-tour.
On February 10, 2017, the band unveiled the outfit changed its band name and unveiled two new singles under the band name American Sin. All the members are still in the band except for the drummer. "Empty" and "So Far Down" were released on the same day, still under Sumerian Records. Both songs showed John on lead vocals and Marcus on backing vocals.
