They’ve been described as “the most promising singer/songwriters in Ireland today” and soon their furious mash-up of blues, alternative rock, pop and hip hop will win them even wider acclaim. 　　 　　Born in Manchester in the early 90s, Thom & Lucy Southern’s family moved around a lot, eventually settling in Belfast where the two began to really nurture their early love of music – both playing it (the two of them being early adopters of the piano) and appreciating.While Thom’s early loves were rooted in contemporary greats such as Radiohead & The White Stripes, Lucy’s ears veered more towards classic rock with the likes of the Beatles & Neil Young. 　　 　　Busking from the age of 16, Thom’s music very quickly became his sole focus, and with Lucy joining him some years later, the two set about making their mark on their home town. 　　 　　Moving to London, then to Liverpool, the pair have honed & crafted their sound drawing from experience and ever evolving influences. Their infectious singles are now paving the way for a hotly anticipated debut, one which will no doubt be the result of two very eventful & exciting young lives thus far.
