Planet Gong was one of the many Gong incarnations from the 1970s onwards. On 1977, Gong leader Daevid Allen and Gilli Smyth of Gong teamed with members of The Here & Now Band, to create Planet Gong. 　　Planet Gong performed live through the following two years, releasing the live album "Floating Anarchy 1977", and recording one single. 　　 　　In 1991, Planet Gong was resurrected by Daevid Allen to recreate the Floating Anarchy album in a live performance.
