Barnaby Taylor is a highly respected, Emmy-award winning film and TV composer. His approach is original and contemporary, with a musical nod to the traditional. A citizen of the US and UK, he works from both countries but bases himself in West Cornwall where he draws inspiration from the rugged landscape and wild seas. 　　Born into a musical family, with a singer-songwriter father, Barnaby's childhood was rich with musical inspiration. Completely self-taught, he was drawn to the piano at a young age before making the switch into film and television production, traveling across the Caribbean, Central and South America, collecting musical inspiration en route and paving the way towards a successful career composing for the screen. Sought after for his versatile, intuitive approach to writing for western instruments in a way that crosses cultural boundaries, Barnaby was an obvious choice for Disney's Born In China. 　　Taylor is also composing the score for the Netflix feature documentary, Ghost of the Mountains. Other film and drama credits include the 2014 thriller for Bigscope Films, Camera Trap, the darkly comedic, Cannes Film Festival-nominated Up Stood the Ape and three seasons of the BBC's RTS Award-winning drama, The Indian Doctor.
