It was in 2005 in Minsk (Belarus) that Fof (also known for his EFF DST idm-electronica project) created DIFFUZION with the intention of mixing darkwave/electro-industrial with female vocals and give it an overall club feel. He found in Xev (singer of the famous Belarusian metal band VICIOUS CRUSADE) the perfect female voice that would give his full-on frontal electronic venture a very unique dimension. And with the extended line-up to a trio with the addition of Taelih (Till it Bleeds) on synths, it took them only a few months before DIFFUZION started catching the attention of the masses through their live performances across Eastern Europe. At the end of 2007, local label Machinist Records released their debut album "Wired Tunes" as a very limited edition with the intention of also giving the band the possibility to be heard by the international scene and media. With this action in motion, it took only a few weeks for DIFFUZION to sign with Belgium's Alfa Matrix label whose A&R Manager had discovered the band while he was visiting the Side-Line magazine office. This act was then followed by the release of “Body Code” in 2008 which granted the band their first success based on positive reviews in the scene media, concert performances and a growing fan base. Later that year Diffuzion were named Band of the Year according to the Belarusian metal/gothic/industrial webzine: Industrial Madness Project. In 2009 DIFFUZION started work on new material being strongly motivated and loaded by lots of fresh ideas. All aspects of the band’s sound were improved and matured taking into consideration melodic, emotional, intelligent and club factors. They successfully combined work in the studio and live performances together with such bands as Diary of Dreams, Lowe and Architect; and participated in Belarusian alternative events and fashion festivals. The band has been featured on numerous compilations which include RE:CONNECTED, ADVANCED ELECTRONICS, ENDZEIT BUNKERTRACKS, Alfa Matrix Re:covered - a tribute to Depeche Mode vol.1 and 2. On their new album "Winter Cities", DIFFUZION expand their musical horizon and reveal how much they have gained in songwriting maturity and production finesse. Armed with an overall solid club compatibility, the new songs thrust you into an uplifting emotional climax where intelligent synthetic song arrangements enter in symbiosis with addictive melodies and the strong and sensual vocal performance of their charismatic female singer Xev. Take the upfront dance-power of body music, spice it with the revolting sexiness of AYRIA, the catchiness of DE/VISION and the impulsive anger of PZYCHOBITCH the whole melt in the intricate arrangements of FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY, and you get an exploding cocktail we may call DIFFUZION.
