Hard Stuff was an English hard rock and early heavy metal group formed from Atomic Rooster's John Du Cann and Paul Hammond, and Quatermass's John Gustafson.
They recorded two albums, Bulletproof (1972) and Bolex Dementia (1973) and two singles, Jay Time/The Orchestrator (1972) and Inside Your Life/How Do You Do It? (1972) (all on Purple Records). Compared with Atomic Rooster's more progressive leanings, Hard Stuff was based more heavily on aggressive guitar. Sinister Minister, Taken Alive, and Time Gambler are some of their singles off of the album Bulletproof.
