他们还赢得了两项著名赛事(为Nick Carter’s “I’m Taking Off”和LIGHTS’“Everybody Breaks a Glass.”
Approaching Nirvana began in 2009 when Sam Willson and Andrew Sinclair collaborated on a song via Skype. Their energetic and emotional brand of Electronica captivated millions of listeners before they ever even met.
In 2010, Approaching Nirvana’s music began to be used on various television shows (MTV, VH1, PBS, HGTV, E!, GOLF Channel, Oxygen, Oprah Winfrey Network, TV Guide Network, Smithsonian Channel) as they developed their sound and began posting their songs to YouTube.
2011 saw Approaching Nirvana become the YouTube artist of choice for the gaming community to use in their videos. With huge hits like “Bangers‘n Smashed” and “2nd Flight” their album “Lapse in Time” rose to the top of the charts.
In 2012, this underground, independent group charted at #1 on Bandcamp (#1 Independent Musician Sales Platform), hit #4 on iTunes (electronic genre) and was consistently charting in the top 200. They also won two prestigious competitions, remixing for Nick Carter’s “I’m Taking Off” and LIGHTS’ “Everybody Breaks a Glass.”
