Freiheit is a young Black Death Metal band from Arkhangelsk, Russia. The name is translated as “Freedom” from German, since the members do not limit themselves in their work, and typical genre rules mean for them either. Freiheit is freedom of self-expression, with no place for pleasing political and religious dogmas. Their style is carved by the immense White Sea and tempered by the cold northern winds. Almost having disbanded after drummer’s death, they get together again in 2014 and warm up such bands as Vader and Hanibal Death Machine. Later, a Demo EP was recorded. A crimson thread of Madness, Hatred and Death comes through the debut full-album. Undoubtedly, the work came out gloomy, aggressive and uncompromising, however, at the same time melodic and clean.
