Franck Ollu is a very versatile conductor and is widely acknowledged as an expert in the field of contemporary and French music. He has a long-established association with Ensemble Modern and is much in demand as an opera conductor. 　　Franck Ollu opens the 2015/16 season with his début at Opera du Rhin in "Dusapin’s Penthésiléa". Last season, he conducted a new co-production of Wolfgang Rihm’s "Jakob Lenz" for Stuttgart Opera and La Monnaie. During the period from 2011 and 2014 Franck Ollu saw many return visits and important débuts at Opera de Lille, Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin, Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, Netherlands Opera and Theatre Capitole de Toulouse for example. He has given many performances of Wolfgang Rihm’s "Jagden und Formen" including the Salzburg Festival with Ensemble Modern. Franck Ollu conducted a new opera by Helmut Oehring “Die Wunde Heine” which he toured with Ensemble Modern to leading European festivals including the MusikTriennale Köln, and concerts with Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie at the Berlin Philharmonie.
