Composer, Arranger and Conductor, Stephen Bentley-Klein has a wide and varied musical career embracing Rock, Classical, Jazz and Ethnic genres together with theatre and film scoring.   He studied the Violin and composition at Guildhall School, London and also Manhattan School, New York with the great Heifetz protege Erik Friedman. For the past two years Stephen was Musical Director for the International Sam Mendes/Kevin Spacey Bridge Project and has performed extensively at the National Theatre with Sir Trevor Nunn, Sir Nicholas Hytner and Michael Neiman.   For many years he was concert master for Dame Shirley Bassey and also with Barry White, The Moody Blues, Neil Sedaka, Rod Stewart, Burt Bacharach, David Gates (Bread), Johnny Mathis, Elvis Presley-The Concert with the original TCB band, Michael Bolton, David Cassidy and The Four Tops.   He played with the Balanescu Quartet and leads the Inklein Quartet for whom he composed “Brave New World”.   His album collaborations include Morcheeba (Who can U Trust?, Big Calm, Fragments of Freedom and Parts of the Process ) David Byrne (Feelings) Uli Jon Roth (Prelude, Transcendental Sky Guitar, Metamorphosis) including touring and the number 1 Paolo Nutini album Sunny Side Up.   He composed the scores for Butterfly Man and the Thai horror The Ghost of Mae Nak. He has played many times for Queen Elizabeth and the Royal family and in April arranged and recorded Celebration for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s recent marriage, a special gift presented to the Queen and family by Cruise a nominated charity for the occasion.   At present he has joined up with Rock legends Deep Purple to arrange and conduct The Songs that Built Rock tour with band and orchestra in America, Europe and Scandinavia including the live DVD from the closing night of Montreax Jazz Festival 2011. Stephen has just completed two movie scores Titus (a jazz story featuring Archie Shep) and Demon.
