Originally "The Rhythm Rockers," they became "The All Stars", & in 1961 they were recommended to Harvey Fuqua who signed them to his label Harvey (2). When Fuqua's labels were taken over by Motown's Berry Gordy, Jr. Walker & The All Stars became members of the Motown Records, recording for their Soul label in 1964.
