Paul Nagle has been one of the most consistently innovative artists in Britain in the field of synthesized instrumental music and new age. Inspired in the early 70's by the albums of Tangerine Dream, Vangelis and Mike Oldfield as well as classical music and rock, he began experimenting with keyboards, tapes and recorded sounds. He edited many works on cassette playing topics related to nature, fantasy and science fiction, emphasizing melody and varied musical structures, instead of the improvisations that were so in vogue at those times. The music goes from the ambient and the music of dance, happening through the new age, until the world music.
