Angela Kleger and Dimitar Ivanov founded Duo Synaphé in 2019 in order to perform arrangements for two ten-string guitars of works from composers such as Ludwig van Beethoven, Fryderyk Chopin, Sergey Rachmaninov and others who remain unfamiliar to the guitar repertoire. As a result, in July 2020 they recorded their first CD entitled Classical Fragments. Shortly after the album’s release, this idea brought about a new challenge—the Goldberg Variations, which now takes a major place in their current programme.
