乐队成员: 　　Math Shiverow -- Vocals 　　Freddy Laurence -- Guitar 　　John Dommen -- Dums 　　Claudio Matteo -- Guitars 　　Marc Lynn -- Bass 　　Dirk Steffens -- Producer 　　 　　China是瑞士的一支流行金属乐队，成立于1985年。是由鼓手John Dommen,组建的.乐队于80年代后期和90年代初期,在国际上取得了巨大的成功(流金黄金岁月啊).他们的专辑曾进入了Billboard Top 10,在瑞士本土,英国,德国和日本,也都取得了相当不错的成绩. 　　 　　China的音乐被Thin Lizzy, Europe 和Scorpions 这样的乐队所影响,早期成员包括吉他手Claudio Matteo和Freddy Laurence, 鼓手John Dommen主唱Vocalist “Math Shiverow和贝司手Marc Lynn.1988年,辛勤和幸运换来了他们和德国Phonogram唱片公司的一纸签约.不久,他们发行了第一张同名专辑”China”.在电视媒体的强力宣传和广大FANS的极力推崇下,China备受鼓舞,在89年又发行了他们的第二张专辑 Sign In the Sky.这张专辑的主唱已经换为Patrick Mason,同时,BASS也被Brian Kofmehl所取代. 　　 　　China此时已经受到了相当的关注,不仅仅因为他们出色的hard rock旋律,还有他们的新主唱.此后,他们开始了大规模的90个城市的Sign In The Sky巡演,并发行了一张现场专辑Live,过后,主唱的位置被来自美国的Eric St. Michaels所取代,接着,又发行了他们的第三张专辑Go All The Way.92年,Eric回美国,成为一个自由艺人.93年5月,China和Marc Storace(瑞士经典老团Krokus的前主唱)一同,进行瑞士的Radio “DRS 3”现场演出.这次现场日后被录制为专辑,并以Alive的名字发售(他们的第二张现场专辑).这张专辑被china的fans称为” a must have for real fans”(真正的Fans所必须拥有的).此后,乐队一直没有什么动静,95年,乐队才发行了他们的第四张专辑, Natural Groove,这张专辑加入了更多的新元,走的是Modern Rock路线,但是已经跟原来那种流金曲风相去甚远了,随后,乐队因外界音乐风格的巨大转变和自身的多种原因,宣布解散. 　　 　　2000年,借着80年代重金属回潮的趋势,和对曾经光辉岁月的怀念,China乐队宣布重组,并展开了China-Revisited的巡演,吉他手Claudio和Freddy,BASS手Brian和Giovanni(这家伙是谁?前文没看见过!)邀请了乐队的三位主唱Strübi (1st CD,就是Math Shiverow), Eric St. Michaels (3rd CD) 和 Mark Storace (alive CD)一同进行了这次巡演(!一张CD换一个主唱).巡演的每一场,都给广大Fans一个” a heart pumping”,仿佛回到了曾经的流金黄金岁月. 　　 　　现在,吉他手Claudio Matteo在"DJ Claudio"混的很成功(资料说他是个职业的DJer-_-!),目前在AlpenRock House - ZH Kloten;Mad Max – Basel;Schützenhouse - Wangen a/Aare;Backstage - St.Gallen;Albani – Winterthur;Bronx - Buchs SG;Top 10 - Singen D等多家俱乐部工作 　　 　　China is a swiss rock/glam band that started back in 1987. This band features Math Shiverow on vocals, Freddy Laurence and Claudio Matteo on Guitars, John Dommen on Drums, and Marc Lynn on bass. This band was signed by Polygram and got a little help from Krokus members Marc Storace and Fernando von Arb. Krokus front man, Marc Storace sang back up on a few tracks and Krokus guitar player Fernando von Arb has the writing credits on the track, “Back to You“. 　　 　　I was one of many people that never heard of this band back in the day (and I thought I knew them all). I recently heard a track off of this disc on an internet hard rock radio station that I frequently visit. My first reaction was, who in the hell was that?! I liked it enough to seek out a copy. My persistence paid off, and I was finally able to grab a copy of this one off of Ebay. 　　 　　I am glad to say that this disc is full of killer 80’s big hair style rock. Some songs have a little more keyboards than I would prefer, but as a whole, this disc rocks! 　　 　　Check out the video’s below for a couple of the bands songs Shout it Out and Rock City.
