With influences ranging from The Goo Goo Dolls to Jimmy Eat World, acoustic alternative band Allred has been a household name in Salt Lake City, UT since 2002 when singer/songwriter and Hartford, Connecticut native John Allred made his move out west. The band’s versatility and independent drive makes it possible for the Utah quintet to release an album a year, sell over 35,000 records, and share the stage with both pop-rock legends and today’s hottest artists. Having only toured venues primarily on the west and east coasts of the United States, ranging from small clubs and college campuses to full size arenas, Allred’s fan base has reached overseas and worldwide due to word of mouth. Produced by Ace Enders, Allred’s latest release All We Are radiates aching vocals and deft songwriting with the album’s title track “All We Are” and other standouts “Let Somebody In," "Me Against The World,” and acoustic ballad “Your Hand In Mine.” Writing for the album began in late 2008 and after two years of working in multiple studios across the country, All We Are was released on September 18th, 2010. “It’s just to challenge myself to see how catchy we can make the songs but keep that meaningfulness that people remember,” says Allred about keeping heartfelt lyrics a primary focus, “it’s the gutsiest we’ve ever been and it’s more of a commercial sound. It’s a really pop record, it’s a radio-rock record.” Allred can currently be seen touring the United States in support of All We Are.
