Gérard Manset（也被称为Manset，1945年8月21日生于上塞纳省圣云）是一个法国创作歌手，画家，摄影师和作家。他最著名的是他的音乐作品。自1972年起，他的专辑封面均使用他名字简写“Manset”。 　　Manset在巴黎郊区（圣云）度过了他的童年，而那里当时是巴黎的第十六郡。他因为法语不及格而没有获得文凭。 　　1964年，Manset成为Concours général的选手，并就读École Nationale Supérieure Des Arts Décoratifs。1966年，秋季沙龙邀请Manset进入雕刻部。Manset的作品被巴黎沙龙展示。同时，Manset将他的图纸寄给各种法国广告公司，然而并不成功。 　　Manset开始演奏吉他，但是也对鼓感兴趣。他借了姐姐的钢琴课本并开始学习钢琴。 　　Gérard Manset (also known as Manset; born 21 August 1945 in Saint-Cloud, Hauts-de-Seine) is a French singer-songwriter, painter, photographer and writer. He is best known for his musical work. Since 1972, the covers of his albums state his name as simply "Manset". 　　Manset spent his childhood in the suburbs of Paris (Saint-Cloud) and then in the sixteenth arrondissement of Paris. He failed his baccalauréat due to the degree of a failing grade in French. 　　In 1964, Manset was the recipient of the Concours général, and enrolled in the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs. The Salon d'Automne welcomed Manset in its engraving section in 1966. Manset's work was also shown at the Paris Salon. At the same time Manset approached various French advertising agencies with his drawings, without success, however. 　　Manset began to play guitar, but was also interested in the drums. He borrowed his sister's piano book, and began learning to play it as well.
