在法国东区省份小镇中长大的小号手─Erik Truffaz艾瑞克．特鲁法兹，是欧洲新爵士领域的大师级人物，乐风颇受成长环境的影响，充满欧洲文化内涵。与美国本土的爵士乐大不相同，他把最经典的迈尔斯．戴维斯（Mils Davis）时代的爵士精髓、各地的民族音乐元素和最有趣hip hop等节奏融合，创造了崭新的爵士新格局。 　　Eric Truffaz自由地把传统的爵士音乐加上了电子乐的设备和手段，成为这种备受称赞的新潮电气爵士乐流派最有代表性的一位。而擅长融合各国文化、音乐元素于一体的由艾瑞克．特鲁法兹领军的四重奏，不仅红遍欧洲，各方邀约不断，亦曾受邀在2005年上海国际爵士节中演出。 　　Erik Truffaz (Chêne-Bougeries, Genève, Canton de Genève, 3 April 1960 in Switzerland) is a French jazz trumpeter, infusing elements of hip hop, rock and roll and dance music into his compositions. He signed with the French EMI label in 1996.Truffaz's second album on Blue Note, The Dawn, produced together with Patrick Muller, Marcello Giuliani and Mark Erbetta. Since then they have produced many Blue Note albums together such as Bending New Corners, which became a Silver Album in France. The 2007 release Arkhangelsk is a mixture of pop songs, French chanson, and jazz-groove. In 2007 he and Ed Harcourt appeared in a Take-Away Show video session shot by Vincent Moon.
