In late 1999 (possibly even early 2000), Mayte Mateos formed this new version of Baccara with Cristina Sevilla called Baccara 2000. They released a few things before dropping the 2000 and going strictly as Baccara once more. Sometime in 2004, Cristina Sevilla left and Mayte Mateos continued with the Baccara name with a new singer, Paloma Blanco.
